The Dreaded 404
I know that right now, people are probably getting the same 404: Not Found error. The site is being moved to a new, better server, so it’ll be back up and running as soon as they’re finished.
I know that right now, people are probably getting the same 404: Not Found error. The site is being moved to a new, better server, so it’ll be back up and running as soon as they’re finished.
Just wanted to let you know that we’re aware of the database errors that are occurring and are looking into it now. My webhost has been notified, and hopefully, we’ll be back up and running soon, but just in case, we wanted to let you know what was going on. (and in case you’re wondering, the main site (this one) is on a different server than the forum.)
So it’s time for our end of the month releases. We’ve got a couple great things for you today! First off, Eien Blue did a fantastic job translating the latest chapter of YamaNade (PGE). Sunako-chan will do just about anything for money … kinda like Kyouhei … hahahha!
And it’s with great pride (and a little sadness, I have to admit) that we’re releasing the final chapter of Phantom Wizard. I don’t know about any of you, but please DO stop by the Cireus-Scanlations forum to tell Eien Blue just how much you appreciate her very dedicated efforts on this one. Also, please note: there is a special page included in the final zips: a preview of our next project, Sonic Wizard by the same mangaka. It’s a prequel to Phantom Wizard, so we’ll work on that, too!
Please note, we’re still recruiting, most notably reliable translators. If you’re interested, please let us know in the Scanlation forum!
As always, all our releases are available in the Manga Host Link Forum in the Cireus-Anime Forums.
Enjoy!!!
As promised, here’s our January mass release. Unfortunately, if you read my last post, then you’ll be expecting a certain number of things. Well, that number was, sadly, wrong—very wrong. What do we have for you? We-e-e-ell …
As always, all releases available in the Anime Host Link Forum, so do enjoy!!! Oh, and do feel free to stop by the various project discussion threads (NOT the download threads) and give the translators some love for their awesome efforts!!!
So … the date has been set. The forum will be down starting tonight at roughly midnight EST (GMT -5, I think), and will probably be down for at least 12 hours while mass upgrades are made. While I realize that it’s rather inconvenient, the upgrades are quite necessary, and hopefully you’ll all find that the great new features are well worth the pain of a few hours’ downtime. While I’m hoping that the forum is only down for a few hours, it may take up to 24 hours to become operational again, so bear with me, please, while we try to implement the changes.
I’ll be doing the upgrades between some other things that will require my attention, so the projected downtime reflects this, too. All in all, however, I will try to get everything set up as quickly as possible!
All the best,
Cireus
EDIT: We’re back up and running a lot faster than I had thought. Some of the extra skins are down at the moment, however, until I can fix them once more.
More Shigurui! Kudos to the good folks at A-E and Saizen! Thanks for more eps of this awesome (and slightly gory) anime! Pick up episodes 9 and 10 now!
Also uploaded and ready to go is D. Gray-Man 60, subbed by Black-Order. Enjoy!
Just released! [A-E & Saizen] Shigurui 07 is uploaded and ready to go! Have fun!
I received an email from my webserver a few days ago that informed me that my server will be moved on November 30. This means that the forum will be down for roughly 8 hours, give or take, and it should begin around 10 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time). This is just to let you all know. Have a good one!
Happy    Birthday, Cireus-Anime!
Â
As hard as it is to believe, Cireus-Anime’s first birthday is rapidly approaching, and in celebration of this milestone, Cireus is hosting a wallpaper contest!
Â
Feeling creative? Well, you should! There are a few rules, but the prize is awesome, so here we go!
Â
Wallpapers may be submitted in one of the following three sizes (or all, if you wish):
And must include the url of the website OR forum:
And your username for credit.
And (uhhh, no brainer …) must be an anime wallpaper wholly original that you’ve designed. Please do not use fanarts unless you created the fanart. I love fanarts, too, but I also respect the artists of those fanarts who do not necessarily wish for their hard work to be manipulated or redistributed. You can use official art and animation in your design or fanarts that YOU have created.
Â
By submitting your entry, you understand that your wallpaper will be uploaded for distribution on Cireus-Anime.net.
Â
Submissions:
Upload your wallpaper to the entry thread or post a link to it. The link must be public. I will not log into something in order to view it for the contest.
In your submission post, please state what size(s) your wallpaper is.
Please note: you must be a member of the forum in order to participate in the contest!
Â
Judging the contest:
As with the signature of the month contests, this contest will also be judged by all forum members who wish to vote. Cireus will not vote unless there is a tie. As such, all forum members including other admin as well as mods are welcome to submit entries.
For this contest only, ALL forum members are welcome to enter!
Â
Deadline:
All entries must be posted by November 15, 2007, 11:59 pm EST (GMT -5). Voting will be open from 12:00 am November 16, 2007 until 11:59 pm November 22, 2007, which just happens to be Cireus-Anime’s official birthday!
Â
Winner will be announced on November 23, 2007 in the Cireus-Anime Forum!
Â
The prize?
Pretty awesome, really, but up for grabs is a brand new copy of Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy game for the Nintendo DS. That’s right; no joke. Winner will be contacted via PM regarding mailing information so that I can send their prize to them!
Â
So help us celebrate our first birthday in style! Drop by our forum and enter today!
Firstly, [Order] D. Gray-Man 25 and [DB] Naruto Shippuuden 6-7 are both uploaded and ready to go on the Cireus Server. They’ve been up for awhile, but because of unforseen difficulty, the sites were all inacessible.
Which brings me to the other reason for this post. The powers-that-be have seen fit to move my website to another server, which, in theory, would be fine, except … they didn’t even bother to warn me that my sites were all going down for up to 48 hours while the new information propogates through the DNS. Luckily, Cireus-Anime was up within hours, but so far as I can tell, EVERYTHING else is still down. Talk about shoddy, right? Anywaaaay … I’m sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll catch up with you all later!
