Releases and … rambling lol

Ah, release day (okay, we’re a little early, but I’m hyper, so I figured, you know, why not???)

So we have some good news and bad news for you … You want the good news first? Okay … To start with, we have two—that’s right, TWO—chapters of PGE for you guys! We just finished volume 22, so do enjoy … because … The BAD NEWS: We’re officially out of raws. This means that we won’t have more till volume 23 is released because we only want HQ scans, and we like releasing with all the bells and whistles (covers, etc). The next volume won’t be released till mid/end May, so don’t freak out if we don’t release anything on this project till June. However, please do show our newest TLer the absolute love! ururumeru translated ch 91 for y’all!

And because Dante (the TLer formerly known as Eien Blue) is awesome, we also have a great chapter of Reideen for you, too.

So I’ve been asked about the status of some of our other projects, and I figure that I should officially state that the only project we’re officially dropping is Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Other groups have picked it up and are able to release it faster than we are, so please do get your fix of SZS from them!

And also, I’ve heard from some people that they don’t “get” why we require user registration to leech when all of our downloads (mind, we have over 2000 different anime/manga download titles). There are a couple reasons for this. Firstly, we don’t really want or need the server overload that mass leeching would put on us. We like having a small forum with good people who share anime and manga because they want to. We’re very fast with posting various releases. What a lot of people don’t realize is that Cireus-Anime existed long before Cireus-Scans, and the reason that the forum was created was to have a nice place to share anime and manga, and that’s what we do …

So in a very real sense, the biggest reason we require registration is because (and this is a big one for me) we have NO ads on our site. None. Not one. And I’d like to keep it that way. The other reason? Simple enough. Why make it easy for crooks like Tazmo to swipe our scans and SELL them on his crack!site? No frigging way. We don’t get paid to scanlate manga. We wouldn’t want to.

That said, enjoy the releases. They can be found in the usual places.

PGE v22 c089

Okay, so technically, it was released last night in the online reader, but this is the official release, so enjoy!

Also noteworthy … we’re currently looking for more Japanese-English translators for various projects.  Please stop by the Cireus-Scanlations Fanclub forum or PM Cireus if you’re interested.

As always, you can pick up the release in the forum.  Free registration is required.
